measuredinrpm(revolutionsperminute).Place
thethrottlecontrolintheFASTpositionforbest
performance.AlwaysoperatethethrottleintheFAST
positionwhenmowing.
StoppingtheMachine
Tostopthemachine,releasethetractionpedaltothe
NEUTRALposition.
Engagetheparkingbrakewheneveryouleavethe
machineandremovethekey.
SelectingtheSteering
Mode
Formaximumtrimmingandminimumturfdamage,
operatethemachineinthe4-wheel-steeringmode.
However,whentransportingthemachineonroadsor
trails,switchthemachineinto2-wheel-steeringmode.

Pressthesteering-selectorswitch(Figure23)tothe
forwardposition.Whenthewheelsarenotalignedin
theforwardposition,thegreenlightashesandthe
machineremainsinthe4-wheel-steeringmodeuntil
the4tirespointstraightahead.Turnthesteering
wheelslowlytostraightenoutthewheelsuntilthe
greenlightstopsashingandremainson.Whenthe
switchlightissolidgreen,themachineisin2-wheel
steering.
Note:Ifyouturnthesteeringwheeltoobriskly,
steeringmisalignmentmayoccur.
Switchingfrom2-WheelSteering
to4-WheelSteering
Pressthesteering-selectorswitch(Figure23)tothe
rearwardposition.Whenthefrontwheelsarenot
alignedintheforwardposition,thegreenlightashes
andthemachineremainsin2-wheel-steeringmode
untilthe4tirespointstraightahead.Turnthesteering
wheelslowlytostraightenoutthewheelsuntilthe
greenlightstopsashingandremainsoff.Whenthe
switchlightiscontinuouslyoff,themachineisinthe
4-wheel-steeringmode.
Note:Ifyouturnthesteeringwheeltoobriskly,
steeringmisalignmentmayoccur.
Note:Ifthesteeringsystemismisalignedafter
repeated2-wheel-steeringto4-wheel-steering
engagements,refertoCorrectingtheSteering
Misalignment(page46).
