ThrottleLever
Usethethrottlelever(Figure8)tocontroltheengine
speed.Movingthethrottleleverforwardtowardthe
FASTpositionincreasestheenginespeed.Moving
thethrottleleverrearwardtowardtheSLOWposition
decreasestheenginespeed.Thethrottlelever
controlsthespeedofthebladesand,withthetraction
pedal,controlsthegroundspeedofthemachine.
HourMeter/ServiceDueIndicator
Thehourmeter(Figure8)recordsanddisplays
accumulatedhoursofengineoperation.
Theservicedueindicatordisplaysthenumberof
hoursuntilthenextengineoilandlterchange.
Note:Theindicatorashesautomaticallywith“OIL
CHANGE”whenyouneedtochangetheengineoil
andlter.
Theservicedueindicatoralsodisplaysthenumberof
hoursuntilyouneedtogreasethemachine.
Note:Theindicatorashesautomaticallywith
“LUBE”whenyouneedtolubricatethemachine.
PushthebuttonONthehourmeter/servicedue
indicatortoselectthefunctiononthescreen.
Important:Duringtherst50hourswhileinthe
oilchangemode,takecaretonotinadvertently
holdthebuttonofthehourmeterlongerthan
6-seconds.Holdingthebuttonlongerthan
6-secondswillsettheoilserviceintervalfrom50
hoursto250hours.
Afterchangingtheengineoilandlterorlubricating
themachineandmowerdeck,performthefollowing:
1.Pushthebuttonuntilyoureachthedesired
screen.
2.Pushandholdthebuttonfor6secondsuntilthe
indicatorstopsashing.
Note:Youcannotresetthetotalworkinghoursof
themachine.
DeckLiftLever
Pullthelockcollaronthedeckliftlever(Figure10)up
andmovetheleverrearwardtoraisethemowerdeck.
Pullthelockcollaronthedeckliftlever(Figure10)
upandmovetheleverforwardtolowerthedeckand
allowittooat.
Important:Toavoiddamagingthedeck-lift
system,setthedeckliftlevertotheforward
(FLOAT)positionwheneveryoudrivethemachine
withthedeckontheground.
Note:Lowerthedeckandhopperwheneveryouare
notusingthemachine.

ON/PREHEAT,andSTART.
Note:TheLIGHTSONpositioncontrolstheworklight.
WhenyouturnthekeyswitchfromtheOFFpositionto
theLIGHTSONposition,thelightilluminates.
WhenyouturnkeyswitchfromtheON/PREHEAT
positiontotheLIGHTSONposition,theengine
continuestorunandlightilluminates.
Note:Iftheenginestopsrunningandthekeyswitch
isintheLIGHTSONortheON/PREHEATposition,and
youleavetheoperator'sseat,afterashortdelaya
buzzerwillsoundtoalertyoutoturnthekeytothe
OFFposition.
