•Usecautionwheneveryoustoreorhandledieselfuel.
•Donotsmokewhilellingthefueltank.
•Donotllthefueltankwhiletheengineisrunning,whilethe
engineishot,orwhenthemachineisinanenclosedarea.
•Alwaysllthefueltankoutsideandwipeupanyspilleddiesel
fuelbeforestartingtheengine.
•Storefuelinaclean,safety-approvedcontainerandkeepthecap
inplace.
•Usedieselfuelasanenginefuelonly,notforanyotherpurpose.
CheckingtheFuelLinesandConnections
Checkthefuellinesandconnectionsatthescheduledmaintenanceintervals
recommendedintheOperator’sManual.Checkthelinesfordeterioration,
damage,leaksorlooseconnections.Replacethehoses,clampsandttings
asnecessary.
DrainingandCleaningtheFuelTank
Drainandcleanthefueltankatthemaintenanceintervalsrecommendedinthe
Operator’sManual.Ifthefuelsystembecomesdirtyorifthemachineisstored
foranextendedperiod,drainandcleanthefueltank.
Tocleanthefueltank,ushthetankoutwithcleandieselfuel.Ensurethatthe
fueltankisfreeofcontaminationanddebris.
