levelofthebafe,whentheuidiswarm(Figure54).
9.Installcaponllerneck.
Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinandcauseinjury.
•Ifhydraulicuidisinjectedintotheskin
itmustbesurgicallyremovedwithinafew
hoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththistypeof
injury.Gangrenemayresultifthisisnot
done.
•Keepbodyandhandsawayfrompinhole
leaksornozzlesthatejecthighpressure
hydraulicuid.
•Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic
leaks.
•Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulic
systembeforeperforminganyworkonthe
hydraulicsystem.
•Makesureallhydraulicuidhosesand
linesareingoodconditionandallhydraulic
connectionsandttingsaretightbefore
applyingpressuretohydraulicsystem.
ReplacingtheHydraulicFilter
Changethehydrauliclterasfollows:
•Aftertherst8operatinghours.
•Afterevery200operatinghours.
1.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop
beforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
Important:Donotsubstituteautomotiveoil
lterorseverehydraulicsystemdamagemay
result.
3.Removehydraulicreservoircapandtemporarily
coveropeningwithaplasticbagandrubberbandto
preventallhydrouidfromdrainingout.
4.Locatelterunderenginebaseandplacedrainpan
underlter(Figure55).
5.Removetheoldlterandwipethelteradapter
gasketsurfaceclean(Figure55).

1/4inch(6mm)belowthetopofreservoirbafe.
Important:Useoilspeciedorequivalent.
Otheruidscouldcausesystemdamage.
12.Startengineandletrunforabouttwominutesto
purgeairfromthesystem.Stoptheengineand
checkforleaks.Ifoneorbothwheelswillnotdrive,
refertoBleedingHydraulicSystem.
13.Rechecklevelandadduid,ifrequired.Donot
overll.
BleedingtheHydraulicSystem
Thetractionsystemisselfbleeding,however,itmaybe
necessarytobleedthesystemifuidischangedorafter
workisperformedonthesystem.
Airmustbepurgedfromthehydraulicsystemwhenany
hydrauliccomponents,includingoillter,areremoved
