Useaheavy-dutytrailerortrucktotransportthemachine.
Ensurethatthetrailerortruckhasallnecessarylightingand
markingasrequiredbylaw.Pleasecarefullyreadallthesafety
instructions.Knowingthisinformationcouldhelpyou,your
family,petsorbystandersavoidinjury.
Totransportthemachine:
1.Stoptheengine,removethekey,setthebrake,and
closethefuelvalve.
2.Securelyfastenthemachinetothetrailerortruckwith
straps,chains,cable,orropes.
3.Secureatrailertotowingvehiclewithsafetychains.
4.Ifapplicable,connectthetrailerbrakes.

Thismowerhasahingedgrassdeectorthatdisperses
clippingstothesideanddowntowardtheturf.
DANGER
Withoutthegrassdeector,dischargecover,or
completegrasscatcherassemblymountedin
place,youandothersareexposedtobladecontact
andthrowndebris.Contactwithrotatingmower
blade(s)andthrowndebriswillcauseinjuryor
death.
Neverremovethegrassdeectorfromthemower
becausethegrassdeectorroutesmaterialdown
towardtheturf.Ifthegrassdeectorisever
damaged,replaceitimmediately.
Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthemower.
Nevertrytocleardischargeareaormower
bladesunlessyoureleasethebailandthepower
takeoff(PTO)isoff.Rotatetheignitionkeyto
Off.Alsoremovethekeyandpullthewireoff
thesparkplug(s).
AdjustingtheHeight-of-Cut
Thismachinehasa1to4-1/4inch(26to108mm)range
forheight-of-cut.Thiscanbeachievedbyadjustingblade
spacers,rearaxleheightandfrontcasterspacers.Usethe
Height-of-Cutcharttoselectthecombinationofadjustments
required
AdjustingtheBladeHeight
AdjusttheBladesbyusingthe4spacers(1/4inch)spacers
onthebladespindlebolts.Thisallowsfora1-inch(25mm)
adjustmentrangeofcuttingheight,in1/4inch(6mm)
increments,inanyaxleposition.Usethesamenumberof
bladespacersonallbladestoachievealevelcut(2aboveand
2below,1aboveand3below,etc.).
1.DisengagethePTOandpullthethrottletotheslow
position.
2.Turntheignitionswitchtooff.
3.Waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.Settheparkingbrake.
4.Holdthebladeboltandremovethenut.Slidethebolt
downthroughthespindle,andchangethespacersas
needed(
Figure19).
