GeneralSafety
•Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovementtostopbeforeyouleavethe
operator’sposition.Allowthemachinetocool
beforeadjusting,servicing,cleaning,orstoringit.
•Cleangrassanddebrisfromthecuttingunits,
mufers,andenginecompartmenttohelpprevent
res.Cleanupoilorfuelspills.
•Ifthecuttingunitsareinthetransportposition,use
thepositivemechanicallock(ifavailable)before
youleavethemachineunattended.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachine
inanyenclosure.
•Removethekeyandshutoffthefuel(ifequipped)
beforestoringorhaulingthemachine.
•Neverstorethemachineorfuelcontainerwhere
thereisanopename,spark,orpilotlight,such
asonawaterheateroronotherappliances.
•Maintainandcleantheseatbelt(s)asnecessary
UsingtheCutting-Unit
StorageLanyard
Usethecutting-unitstoragelanyardstopreventthe
forwardoutercuttingunitsfromsettlingwhenthe
machineisparkedovernightorifitisbeingstoredfor
anextendedperiod.Youcanalsousethecutting-unit
storagelanyardstopreventthecuttingunitsfrom
settlingwhilethemachineistransportingbetween
mowingtasks.
