Moweitherinthelatemorningtoavoidthedew,which
causesgrassclumping,orinlateafternoontoavoid
thedamagethatcanbecausedbydirectsunlighton
thesensitive,freshlymowedgrass.
SelecttheProperHeight-of-Cut
SettingtoSuitConditions
Removeapproximately25mm(1inch)orno
morethan1/3ofthegrassbladewhencutting.In
exceptionallylushanddensegrass,youmayhaveto
raisetheheightofcuttothenextsetting.
MowatProperIntervals
Undermostnormalconditionsyouneedtomow
approximatelyevery4-5days.Butremember,grass
growsatdifferentratesatdifferenttimes.Thismeans
thatinordertomaintainthesameheightofcut,which
isagoodpractice,youwillneedtocutmorefrequently
inearlyspring;asthegrassgrowthrateslowsin
midsummer,cutonlyevery8-10days.Ifyouare
unabletomowforanextendedperiodduetoweather
conditionsorotherreasons,mowrstwiththeheight
ofcutatahighlevel;thenmowagain2-3dayslater
withalowerheightsetting.
AlwaysMowwithSharpBlades
Asharpbladecutscleanlyandwithouttearingor
shreddingthegrassbladeslikeadullblade.Tearing
andshreddingcausesthegrasstoturnbrownat
theedgeswhichimpairsgrowthandincreases
susceptibilitytodiseases.

Toensurethatoptimumperformanceismet,clean
theundersideofthemowerhousingsaftereachuse.
Ifresidueisallowedtobuildupinthemowerhousing,
cuttingperformancedeclines.
Note:Lowercuttingunitstothegroundwhenever
machineisparked.Thisrelievesthehydraulicload
fromthesystem,preventswearonsystempartsand
alsopreventsaccidentalloweringofthecuttingunits.
