Thefuelpumpisattachedtotheaircleanerstandadapterbelowthefuel/water
separator(Figure187).Electricalcurrentisavailableforthefuelpumpwhenthe
keyswitchisineithertheRUNorSTARTposition.
TheT oroElectronicController(TEC)energizesthefuelpump.
IMPORTANT
Whentestingthefuelpump,ensurethatthepumpisnotoperated
withoutfuel.
DANGER
Dieselfuelishighlyammable.
•Usecautionwheneveryouhandledieselfuel.
•Donotsmokewhiletestingthefuelpump.
•Donottestthefuelpumpwhiletheengineishot.
•Ensurethatthereisadequateventilationwhentesting.
•Alwayswipeupanyspilleddieselfuelbeforestartingtheengine.

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdecks,shutoffthe
engine,andsettheparkingbrake.EnsurethatthekeyswitchisintheOFF
position.
2.Unlatchthehoodandraiseit.
3.Ensurethatthefuelhosesattachedtothefuelpumparefreeofobstructions.
4.Disconnectthefuelpumpdischargehosefromtheinletttingofthe
fuel/waterseparator.
