Suddenmovementoftheinternalvalvespoolscanreleasethe
storeduidsuddenly.
6.Useclean-mineralspiritsandcleanthecartridgevalve.Putthevalveinthe
clean-mineralspiritstoushoutcontamination.
IMPORTANT
Particlesasneastalcumpowdercanaffecttheoperationof
high-pressurehydraulicvalves.
Ifthecartridgedesignallows,useawoodorplasticprobeto
presstheinternalspoolinandoutfor20to30timestoushout
contamination.
Ensurethatyoudonotdamagethecartridge.Usethecompressed
airforcleaning.
7.Installthecartridgevalveasfollows:
A.Lubricatethenewsealkitcomponentswithcleanhydraulicuidand
installthemontothevalve.
B.InstalltheO-rings,sealingrings,andback-upringscorrectlyonthe
cartridgevalveforproperoperationandsealing.
IMPORTANT
Carefullyhandlethevalvecartridge.Slightbendingordistortion
ofthestemtubecancausebindingandmalfunction.When
installingthecartridgevalveintothecontrolmanifold,ensure
thatthedeepwellsocketfullyengagesthevalvebase.
C.Turnthecartridgevalvecarefullyintothemanifoldport.Thevalveshould
goineasilywithoutbinding.
D.Useadeepwellsocketandtorquethecartridgevalvetothevalues
identiedinFigure99.
8.Ifthesolenoidcoilwasremovedfromthecartridgevalve,dothefollowing
steps:
A.Carefullyinstallthecoilontothevalve.
IMPORTANT
Overtighteningthenutcandamagethesolenoidorcausevalve
malfunction.Donotovertightenthenut.
B.Installthenutandtorquethenutto6.7N∙m(60in-lb).
9.Iftheproblemsstillexist,removethevalveandcleanitagainorreplace
thevalve.
