Thechargepressuretestistherstinaseriesoftestsrecommendedto
determinetractioncircuitperformance.Achargepressuredropofmorethan
20%indicatesaninternalleakinthepistonpump/hydrostat.Continuedunit
operationcangenerateexcessiveheat,causedamagetosealsandother
componentsinthehydraulicsystem,andaffectoverallmachineperformance.
SpecialEquipmentRequired:Pressuregauge
1.Warmoilaftertestequipmentisconnectedtopreventtechnicianfrom
workingonahotmachine—applicabletotestswhenpossible(anytestthat
requiresanopenun-pluged/cappedline(casedraintests)wouldnotapply
andoilshouldbewarmedbeforedisconnectingthelines).
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page4–6).
2.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfacewiththePTOswitchoff,lowerthecutting
decks,shutofftheengine,andsettheparkingbrake.
