AdjustingtheTraction
DriveforNeutral
Themachinemustnotcreepwhenthetractionpedal
isreleased.Ifitdoescreep,adjustasfollows:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,andlowerthecuttingunitstotheground.
2.Jackupthemachineuntilallthetiresareoffthe
ground;refertoRaisingtheMachine(page53).
Supportthemachinewithjackstandstoprevent
itfromfallingaccidentally.
3.Ontherightsideofthehydrostat,loosenthe
locknutonthetraction-adjustmentcam(Figure
84).

WARNING
Theenginemustberunningsothatyou
canmakethenaladjustmentonthe
tractionadjustmentcam.Thiscould
causepersonalinjury.
Keepyourhands,feet,face,andother
bodypartsawayfromthemufer,other
hotpartsoftheengine,andanyrotating
parts.
4.TurnthekeyintheswitchtotheONposition,
starttheengine,androtatethecamhexineither
directionuntilthewheelsceaserotation.
5.Tightenthelocknuttosecuretheadjustment.
6.TurnthekeyintheswitchtotheOFFposition,
removethejackstands,andlowerthemachine
totheground.
7.Testdrivethemachinetomakesurethatitdoes
notcreep.

Toe-in
ServiceInterval:Every800hours
1.Rotatethesteeringwheelsothattherear
wheelsarestraightahead.
2.Loosenthejamnutoneachendofthetierod
(Figure85).
Note:Theendofthetierodwiththeexternal
grooveisaleft-handthread.
