releasesomeoftheairtoreducethepressure.The
correctairpressureinthetiresis97to124kPa(14
to18psi).
Note:Maintaintherecommendedpressureinalltires
toensureagoodqualityofcutandpropermachine
performance.

StartingandStoppingthe
Engine
Youmayneedtobleedthefuelsystemifanyofthe
followingsituationshaveoccurred(refertoBleeding
theFuelSystem):
•Initialstartupofanewengine
•Theenginehasceasedrunningduetolackoffuel.
•Maintenancehasbeenperformeduponthefuel
systemcomponents;i.e.lterreplaced,etc.
StartingtheEngine
1.Besurethattheparkingbrakeissetandthe
cuttingunitdriveswitchisintheDisengage
position.
2.Removeyourfootfromthetractionpedaland
makesurethatthepedalisintheneutral
position.
3.Movethethrottlelevertothe1/2throttleposition.
4.Insertthekeyintotheswitchandrotateittothe
On/Preheatpositionuntiltheglowplugindicator
lightgoesout(approximately7seconds);then
rotatethekeytotheStartpositiontoengagethe
startermotor.Releasethekeywhentheengine
starts.Thekeywillmoveautomaticallytothe
On/Runposition.
Important:Topreventoverheatingofthe
startermotor,donotengagethestarter
longerthan15seconds.After10secondsof
continuouscranking,wait60secondsbefore
engagingthestartermotoragain.
5.Whentheengineisstartedforthersttimeor
afteranoverhauloftheengine,operatethe
machineinforwardandreverseforonetotwo
minutes.Alsooperatetheliftleverandcutting
unitdriveswitchtobesureofproperoperation
ofallparts.
Turnthesteeringwheeltotheleftandrightto
checksteeringresponse;thenshuttheengine
offandcheckforoilleaks,looseparts,andany
othernoticeablemalfunctions.
CAUTION
Stoptheengineandwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforecheckingforoilleaks,
looseparts,andothermalfunctions.
StoppingtheEngine
MovethethrottlecontroltotheIdleposition,movethe
cuttingunitdriveswitchtoDisengage,androtatethe
starterkeytoOff.Removethekeyfromtheswitchto
preventaccidentalstarting.
