Paperelement:Checkitafterevery50operatinghours.
Replaceitafterevery200operatinghoursoryearly,
whichevercomesrst.
Inspectthefoamandpaperelementsandreplacethem
iftheyaredamagedorexcessivelydirty.
Note:Servicetheaircleanermorefrequently(every
fewoperatinghours)iftheoperatingconditionsare
extremelydustyorsandy.
Important:Donotoilthefoamorpaperelement.
RemovingtheFoamandPaper
Elements
1.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Cleanaroundtheaircleanertopreventdirt
fromgettingintotheengineandcausingdamage
(Figure24).
4.Unscrewthecoverknobandremovetheaircleaner
cover(Figure24).
5.Removethe2wingnutsandremovetheaircleaner
assembly(Figure24).
6.Carefullypullthefoamelementoffthepaper
element(Figure24).

CleaningtheFoamAirCleanerElement
1.Washthefoamelementinliquidsoapandwarm
water.Whentheelementisclean,rinseitthoroughly.
2.Drytheelementbysqueezingitinacleancloth.
Important:Replacethefoamelementifitis
tornorworn.

1.Donotcleanthepaperlter.Replaceitafter200
operatinghours(Figure24).
2.Inspecttheelementfortears,anoilylm,ordamage
totherubberseal.
3.Replacethepaperelementifitisdamaged.

Important:Topreventenginedamage,always
operatetheenginewiththecompletefoamand
paperaircleanerassemblyinstalled.
