22. Remove the 2 bolts and nuts securing the opposite

transmission axle ﬂ ange bearing to the chassis (Fig.

838).

23. Carefully maneuver the transmission out of the

chassis by tilting it back and lifting up (Fig. 839).

25. Remove the 4 bolts securing the shift plate to the

transmission (Fig. 841).

24. Slide the transmission off the opposite axle and

away from the couple/coupler guard. Remove it from

the chassis (Fig. 840).

Note: The coupler may come off the axle with

the transmission; if so, remove it from the

transmission.
