1.Installthesparkplugsandthemetalwasher.Ensure
thattheairgapissetcorrectly.
2.Tightenthesparkplugsto22N-m(16ft-lb).
3.Connectthewirestothesparkplugs(Figure33).

Incertainconditions,gasolineisextremely
ammableandhighlyexplosive.Areorexplosion
fromgasolinecanburnyouandothersandcan
damageproperty.
•Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopenarea.
Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
•Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwhereasparkmay
ignitethegasolinefumes.
DrainingtheFuelTank
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacetoensurethatthe
fueltankdrainscompletely;thendisengagethepower
take-off(PTO),settheparkingbrake,andturnthe
ignitionkeytotheoffposition.Removethekey.
2.Closethefuel-shutoffvalveatthefueltank(Figure34).
3.Squeezetheendsofthehoseclamptogetherandslide
itupthefuellineawayfromfuellter(Figure34).
4.Pullthefuellineoffthefuellter(Figure34).Open
thefuel-shutoffvalveandallowthegasolinetodrain
intoagascanordrainpan.
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuellter
becausethefueltankisempty.RefertoReplacingthe
FuelFilter.
5.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.Slidethehose
clampclosetothevalvetosecurethefuelline.
