tightenthelteranadditional1/2turn.
Important:Donotovertightenthelter.
6.Addoiltothecrankcase;refertoCheckingthe
Engine-OilLevel(page38).

explosionfromfuelcanburnyouandothers
andcancausepropertydamage.
Fillthefueltankoutdoors,inanopenarea,
whentheengineisoffandiscold.Wipeup
anyfuelthatspills.
Donotllthefueltankcompletelyfull.Add
fueltothefueltankuntilthelevelis25mm
(1inch)belowthetopofthetank,notthe
llerneck.Thisemptyspaceinthetank
allowsthefueltoexpand.
Neversmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwherefuel
fumesmaybeignitedbyaspark.
Storefuelinaclean,safety-approved
containerandkeepthecapinplace.
DrainingtheFuelTank

Beforestorage
Drainandcleanthefueltankifthefuelsystem
becomescontaminatedorifthemachineistobe
storedforanextendedperiod.Usecleanfueltoush
outthetank.
CheckingtheFuelLines
andConnections
ServiceInterval:Every400hours/Yearly(whichever
comesrst)
Checkthefuellinesandconnections.Inspectthem
fordeterioration,damage,orlooseconnections.
BleedingtheFuelSystem
Youmustbleedthefuelsystembeforestartingthe
engineifanyofthefollowingsituationshaveoccurred:
Initialstart-upofanewmachine.
Enginehasceasedrunningduetolackoffuel.
Maintenancehasbeenperformeduponfuel
systemcomponents;i.e.,lterreplaced,separator
serviced,etc.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandensure
thatthefueltankisatleasthalffull.
