2.Tightenthesparkplugsto22N-m(16ft-lb).
3.Connectthewirestothesparkplugs(Figure30).

Incertainconditions,gasolineisextremely
ammableandhighlyexplosive.Areor
explosionfromgasolinecanburnyouand
othersandcandamageproperty.
Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,and
stayawayfromanopenameorwherea
sparkmayignitethegasolinefumes.
DrainingtheFuelTank
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacetoensure
thatthefueltankdrainscompletely;then
disengagethepowertake-off(PTO),setthe
parkingbrake,andturntheignitionkeytothe
Offposition.Removethekey.
2.Closethefuel-shutoffvalveatthefueltank
(Figure31).
3.Squeezetheendsofthehoseclamptogether
andslideitupthefuellineawayfromfuellter
(Figure31).
4.Pullthefuellineoffthefuellter(Figure31).
Note:Openthefuel-shutoffvalveandallowthe
gasolinetodrainintoafuelcontaineroradrain
pan.
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuel
lterbecausethefueltankisempty.Referto
ReplacingtheFuelFilter(page29).
5.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.Slidethe
hoseclampclosetothevalvetosecurethefuel
line.
