CAUTION
Looseninganyairconditioningsystemttingorcomponentallows
thepressurizedrefrigeranttoescape,causingpossibleinjury.
Donotloosenanysystemttingorcomponentuntilacertiedair
conditioningservicetechniciandischargesthesystemcompletely.
4.Haveacertiedairconditioningservicetechnicianevacuatetherefrigerant
fromtheairconditioningsystem.
5.Disconnectbothevaporatorcoreswivelttingsfromfrontportsofexpansion
valve.Immediatelycaptubesandexpansionvalveportstopreventmoisture
andcontaminantsfromenteringthesystem.Positionexpansionvalvewith
attachedhosesawayfromthemixingbox.

A.Carefullyuseasmallprybartoraisetheheadofthepininthecenterof
eachrivetthatsecuresthemixingboxcover.
B.Lifttherivetsfromthecoverandmixingbox.
C.Removethemixingboxcover.
8.Notethelocationofthewireharnessconnectorsonthefreezeswitchand
blowerfanassembly(Figure370),disconnectthewireharnessconnectors
fromtheswitchandfan.
9.Carefullyraisetheheatercore/airconditioningevaporatorassemblywith
attachedblowerfanfromthemixingbox.
10.Removethe6screws(item9inFigure369)thatsecuretheblowerfantothe
heatercore/airconditioningevaporatorassembly,andremovetheblowerfan.
