WARNING
Donotlettherefrigerantcontactyourskinoreyesasthereisa
possibilityofseriousinjury.
Alwayswearsafetygogglesorafaceshieldwhenyouworkwiththe
airconditioningsystemcomponents.
CAUTION
Looseninganyairconditioningsystemttingorcomponentallows
thepressurizedrefrigeranttoescape,causingpossibleinjury.
Donotloosenanysystemttingorcomponentuntilacertiedair
conditioningservicetechniciandischargesthesystemcompletely.
CAUTION
Insomeconditions,thepressurizedmixturesoftherefrigerantand
airarecombustible.
Donotusecompressedairforleaktestorpressuretestoftheair
conditioningsystem.
1.Beforeyouserviceanyairconditioningsystemcomponents,parkthe
machineonalevelsurface,settheparkingbrake,lowerthecuttingdeckor
attachments,andshutofftheengine.Removethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Cleanthemachinebeforeyoudisconnect,remove,ordisassembleanyair
conditioningsystemcomponents.Cleanthesystemtopreventthesystem
contaminationwhileyouperformtheserviceprocedures.
3.Beforeyouloosenorremoveanyairconditioningsystemhosesorother
components,haveacertiedairconditioningservicetechniciancollectthe
systemrefrigerantandthenevacuatetheairconditioningsystemcompletely.
Itisillegaltoopentherefrigeranttotheatmosphere.
4.Installcapsorplugsonanylines,ttings,orcomponentsthatareleftopenor
exposedtopreventmoistureandcontaminantsfromenteringintothesystem.
5.Labelallthedisconnectedsystemlinesandhosesforproperinstallation
afterrepairsarecompleted.
6.Ifyouremovethecompressorfromthemachine,keepthecompressorin
thesameorientationasitwasintheinstalledposition.Thispreventsthe
compressoroilfromllingthecompressorcylinders.
7.Notethepositionofthettings(especiallyelbowttings)beforeremoval.
Note:Marktheparts,ifnecessary,andensurethattheyarealignedcorrectly
wheninstallingthehosesandtubes.
