ThecruisecontrolswitchisusedasaninputfortheTECcontrollertomaintain
groundspeedwhenengaged.Thecruisecontrolfunctionisenabledwhenthe
switchisintheON(center)position.Pressingthefrontoftheswitchtothe
momentarypositionsetsthedesiredgroundspeed.Thecruisecontrolfunctionis
disengagedwhentherearofthecruisecontrolswitchisdepressed.Onmachine
withserialnumbersbelow314000000,thecruisecontrolswitchislocatedon
theoperatorsideoftheconsolearm(asshowninFigure192).Onmachine
withserialnumbersabove314000000,thecruisecontrolswitchislocatedon
theoutsidetheconsolearm.
Note:Thecruisecontrolfunctioncanalsobedisengagedifeitherbrakepedalis
pressedorifthetractionpedalispressedandheldinthereversedirection.
Testing
1.Beforedisconnectingthecruisecontrolswitchfortesting,theswitchandits
circuitwiringshouldbetestedasaTECinputwiththeInfoCenterDisplay
(seeInfoCenterDisplay(page6–7)).IftheInfoCenterDisplayveriesthat
switchandcircuitwiringarefunctioningcorrectly,nofurtherswitchtesting
isnecessary.If,however,theDisplaydeterminesthattheswitchandcircuit
wiringarenotfunctioningcorrectly,proceedwithtest.
2.MakesurekeyswitchisOFF .Removekeyfromkeyswitch.
3.Disassemblecontrolarmtogainaccesstothecruisecontrolswitch(see
ControlArm(page8–12)).
4.Disconnectharnesselectricalconnectorfromtheswitch.
