TheHI/LOW,enginespeedandcuttingdeckliftswitchesareallidentical
momentaryswitches.Theseswitchesarelocatedonthecontrolarm(Figure
190).
TheHI/LOWspeedswitchisusedasaninputfortheTECcontrollertoselect
eithertheHI(transport)orLOW(mow)tractionspeed.
Theenginespeedswitchisusedasaninputfortheengineelectroniccontrolunit
toraiseorlowertheenginespeed.Whentheswitchisdepressedandheldinthe
forwardposition,theenginespeedwillincrease.Conversely,whentherearof
theswitchisdepressed,enginespeedwilldecrease.
ThecuttingdeckliftswitchesareusedasinputsfortheTECcontrollertoraise
orlowerthecuttingdecks.Whenthefrontofaliftswitchisdepressed,the
controlleddeckswilllower.Whentherearofaliftswitchisdepressedandheld,
thecontrolleddeckswillraise.
Note:T oraiseorlowerthedecks,theoperatorseathastobeoccupied.Also,to
lowerthecuttingdecks,thetractionspeedhastobeinLOW(mow)range.
Testing
1.Beforedisconnectingaswitchfortesting,theswitchanditscircuitwiring
shouldbetestedasaTECinputwiththeInfoCenterDisplay(seeInfoCenter
Display(page6–7)).IftheInfoCenterveriesthattheswitchandcircuit
wiringarefunctioningcorrectly,nofurtherswitchtestingisnecessary.If,
however,theInfoCenterdeterminesthattheswitchandcircuitwiringarenot
functioningcorrectly,proceedwithtest.
2.MakesurekeyswitchisOFF .Removekeyfromkeyswitch.
3.Disassemblecontrolarmtogainaccesstoswitchthatistobetested(see
ControlArm(page8–12)).
4.Disconnectharnesselectricalconnectorfromtheswitchthatistobetested.
