areversefancycleisautomaticallyinitiated.This
cycleblowsdebrisofftherearscreenandlowersthe
engine-coolant,fuel,andhydraulic-uidtemperatures.
Youcancompleteamanually-initiatedreversecycle
bysimultaneouslypressingtherightandleftbuttons
ontheInfoCenter.Itisrecommendedthatyou
manuallyreversethefanbeforeyouleavethework
areaorenterthemaintenanceorstoragearea.
UnderstandingAutoIdle
Themachineisequippedwithautoidle,which
automaticallyidlestheenginewhenallthefollowing
functionsarenotusedforapre-determinedtimeas
previouslysetintheInfoCenter.
ThetractionpedalisreturnedtotheNEUTRAL
position.
ThePTOisdisengaged.
Noneoftheliftswitchesareactivated.
Whenyouinitiateanyoftheabovefunctions,the
machineautomaticallyreturnstotheprevious
throttleposition.
UsingtheCruiseControl
Thecruise-controlswitchlocksinthepedalposition
tomaintainthedesiredgroundspeed.Pressingthe
rearoftheswitchturnscruisecontroloff,themiddle
positionoftheswitchenablesthecruise-control
function,andthefrontoftheswitchsetsthedesired
groundspeed.
Note:Pressingthebrakepedalormovingthetraction
pedalintothereverseposition,for1second,shuts
offthecruisecontrol.
StartingtheEngine
Important:Thefuelsystemautomaticallybleeds
itselfwhenanyofthefollowingsituationsoccur:
Initialstartupofanewmachine.
Theenginehasceasedrunningduetolackoffuel.
Maintenancehasbeenperformeduponthefuel
systemcomponents.
1.Removeyourfootfromthetractionpedaland
ensurethatitisinneutral.Ensurethatthe
parkingbrakeisset.
2.Movetheengine-speedswitchtotheLOW-IDLE
position.
3.TurntheignitionkeytotheRUNposition.
Note:Theglow-plugindicatorilluminates.
4.Whentheglowindicatordims,turntheignition
keytotheSTARTposition.Releasethekey
immediatelywhentheenginestartsandallowit
toreturntotheRUNposition.
Important:Donotrunthestartermotor
morethan30secondsatatimeorpremature
starterfailuremayresult.Iftheenginefails
tostartafter30seconds,turnthekeyto
theOFFposition,checkthecontrolsand
procedures,wait30additionalseconds,and
repeatthestartingprocedure.
5.Allowenginetowarmupatmidspeed(without
load),thenmovethethrottlecontroltothe
desiredposition.
Important:Allowenginetoidlefor5minutes
beforeshuttingitoffafterafull-loadoperation.
Failuretodosomayleadtoturbo-chargertrouble.

Important:Allowtheenginetoidlefor5minutes

Thisallowstheturbochargertocooldownbefore
shuttingofftheengine.Failuretodosomaylead
toturbochargertrouble.
Note:Lowerthecuttingunitstothegroundwhenever
machineisparked.Thisrelievesthehydraulicload
fromthesystem,preventswearonsystemparts,and
alsopreventsaccidentalloweringofthecuttingunits.
1.MovethethrottlecontrolbackwardtotheSLOW
position.
2.MovethePTOswitchtotheOFFposition.
3.Engagetheparkingbrake.
4.RotatetheignitionkeytotheOFFposition.
5.Removethekeyfromtheswitchtoprevent
accidentalstarting.
UsingtheEngine-Speed
Switch
Theenginespeedswitchhas2modestochangethe
enginespeed.Bymomentarilytappingtheswitch,
theenginespeedcanbeincreasedordecreasedin
100-rpmincrements.Byholdingtheswitchdown,
theengineautomaticallymovestoHIGHorLOWIDLE,
dependingonwhichsideoftheswitchyoupress.
AdjustingtheMowing
Speed
Supervisor(ProtectedMenu)
Thisfeatureallowsthesupervisortosetthemaximum
mowingspeedinincrementsof5%between30and
100%,atwhichtheoperatorcanmow(lowrange).
