andlocknutontorearaxlepin.

C.Torquelocknutfrom184to223N·m(135to165ft−lb).Aftertightening
thelocknut,makessurethattherearaxlepivotsfreely.
3.Positionrearaxlewithattachedmountundermachine.Withajack,raise
assemblytomachineframeandalignmountingholesofrearaxlemount
andmachineframe.
4.Securerearaxlemounttoframewithsix(6)capscrews,atwashersand
locknuts.
5.Ifremoved,installthetierodtorearaxle(Figure258).Tightenballjoint
castlenutsandinstallnewcotterpins.
6.Positionbulkheadmountplate(item15)withattachedhydraulichosesand
tubestorearaxle.Securemountplatetoaxlewithcapscrewsandlock
washers.
7.Installsteeringcylindertorearaxleassembly(seeSteeringCylinder(page
5–138)).
8.Installhydraulicmotortorearaxleassembly(seeRearAxleMotor(page
5–114)).

Failuretomaintainproperwheellugnuttorquecouldresultinfailure
orlossofwheelandmayresultinpersonalinjury.
