1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,lowercuttingdecks,stopengineand
removekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Drainoilfromplanetarydriveandbrakeassembly;refertotractionunit
Operator’sManual.
CAUTION
Whenremovingfrontwheel,usecorrectjacksandsupports.Make
suremachineisparkedonasolid,levelsurfacesuchasaconcrete
oor.Priortoraisingmachine,removeanyattachmentsthatmay
interferewiththesafeandproperraisingofthemachine.Always
chockorblockwheels.Usejackstandstosupporttheraised
machine.Ifthemachineisnotproperlysupportedbyjackstands,
themachinemaymoveorfall,whichmayresultinpersonalinjury.
3.Chockrearwheelsandjackupfrontofmachine(seeJackingInstructions
(page1–7)).Supportmachinewithjackstands.
4.Removefrontwheelassembly.
5.Removehydraulicwheelmotor(seeFrontWheelMotors(page5–116)).
6.Disconnectbrakecablefrompullrodonbrakeassembly.
7.Supportbrakeassemblytopreventitfromfalling.
8.Removeangeheadscrews(item16)thatsecurebrakeassemblytoframe.
9.Removebrakeassemblyfrommachine.Becarefultonotdropsplinedbrake
shaft(item3)asbrakeassemblyisremoved.
10.Removesplinedbrakeshaftfrombrakeassembly.
11.Removeanddiscardgasket(item18).Makesurethatallgasketmaterialand
sealantisremovedfrombothbrakeandplanetaryassemblies.
12.Completebrakeinspectionandrepair(seeBrakeInspectionandRepair
(page7–7)).
