visewithsoftjawsisrecommended.
A.Coatshaftwithcleanhydraulicoil.
B.Carefullyslideheadandthenpistonontotheshaft.Securepistonto
shaftwithlocknut.
C.TorquelocknuttospecicationinFigure154(sidedeckcylinder)or
Figure155(centerdeckcylinder).
4.Removeshaftassemblyfromvise.
IMPORTANT
Preventdamagewhenclampingthehydrauliccylinderintoavise;
clampontheclevisendofthebarrelONLY
5.Mountbarrelsecurelyinavisebyclampingontheclevisendofthebarrel.
Useofavisewithsoftjawsisrecommended.
IMPORTANT
Wheninstallingtheheadintothebarreloftheliftcylinder,pay
carefulattentiontotheretainingringslotinthebarreltoinsurethat
thepistonandheadsealsdonotlodgeintheslot.
6.Coatallinternalpartswithalightcoatofcleanhydraulicoil.Slidepiston,shaft
andheadassemblyintothebarrelbeingcarefultonotdamagetheseals.
7.Secureheadinbarrel:
A.Alignretainingringholeintheheadwiththeaccessslotinthebarrel.
B.Inserttheretainingringhookintotheholeandrotateheadclockwiseuntil
theretainingringiscompletelypulledintothebarrelandtheringends
arecovered.
C.Applysiliconesealertobarrelaccessslot.
