3.Inspectallgears,shafts,bearings,casesandcoversfordamageandwear.
Replacecomponentsasnecessary.
Installation
1.Iftheringgearwasremovedfromthedifferentialcase,usemediumstrength
Loctitethreadlockerandtightenthemountingscrewsfrom30to34N·m
(22to25ft-lb).
2.Applymolybdenumdisuldelubricant(ThreeBond1901orequivalent)tothe
splinesandbearingsurfacesofthedifferentialpiniongears,pinionwashers
andsidegears.
3.Installthesidegearshimsandsidegearsintheiroriginallocationinthe
differentialcase.
4.Placethedifferentialpiniongearsandpinionwashersintheiroriginallocation
inthedifferentialcase.T emporarilyinstallthedifferentialpinionshaft.
