SystemcommunicationbetweenelectricalcomponentsonGroundsmaster
4100−Dand4110−DmachinesisaccomplishedonaCAN−buscommunication
system.Two(2)speciallydesigned,twistedwiresformthebusforthenetwork
usedonthemachine.Thesewiresprovidethedatapathwaysbetweenmachine
components.AttheendofthetwistedpairofbuswiresneartheInfoCenter
displayisa120ohmterminationresistor.
TheCAN−busterminationresistorplugsintotheplatformwireharnessinthe
controlarm.Theresistorcanbeaccessedbyremovingthecoverplateonthe
rightsideofthecontrolarm.Thewireharnessconnectorhasablueinsertto
identifytheproperlocationfortheterminationresistor.
Note:TheGroundsmaster4100−Dand4110−DengineECUincludesthe
secondCAN−bussystemterminationresistor.Thisresistorcannotbeaccessed
fortesting.

IMPORTANT
Theterminationresistorisrequiredforproperelectricalsystem
operation.
TerminationResistorTest
Theterminationresistor(Figure226)canbetestedusingadigitalmultimeter
(ohmssetting).Thereshouldbe120ohmsresistancebetweenterminalsAand
Boftheterminationresistor.TerminalCisnotusedonGroundsmaster4100−D
and4110−Dmachines.
