Maintenance
Important:Thefastenersonthecoversofthismachine
aredesignedtoremainonthecoverafterremoval.
Loosenallofthefastenersoneachcoverafewturnsso
thatthecoverisloosebutstillattached,thengoback
andloosenthemuntilthecovercomesfree.Thiswill
preventyoufromaccidentallystrippingtheboltsfree
oftheretainers.
Lubrication
Thecuttingunitmustbelubricatedregularly.Ifthemachine
isoperatedundernormalconditions,lubricatethecastor
bearingsandbushingswithNo.2generalpurposelithium
basegreaseormolybdenumbasegreaseafterevery8hoursof
operationordaily,whichevercomesrst.Allotherbearings,
bushings,andthegearboxmustbelubricatedafterevery50
hoursofoperation.

•castorspindlebushings(

•rightandleftliftarmpivotpins(Figure14)

2.Positionthemachineandcuttingunitonalevelsurface
andlowerthecuttingunit.Removethedipstick/ll
plugfromthetopofthegearbox(Figure16)and
makesurethatthelubricantisbetweenthemarkson
thedipstick.Ifthelubricantlevelislow,addSAE
80-90wt.gearlubeuntilthelevelisbetweenthemarks.
SAE80-90wt.syntheticgearlubemaybeusedasan
alternative.
