(Rev. A)
Special Tools
Order special tools from your Toro Distributor. Some
tools may also be available from a local tool supplier.
Multimeter
The multimeter can test electrical components and cir-
cuits for current, resistance or voltage. Obtain this tool
locally.
NOTE: Toro recommends the use of a DIGITAL Volt−
Ohm−Amp multimeter when testing electrical circuits.
The high impedance (internal resistance) of a digital me-
ter in the voltage mode will make sure that excess cur-
rent is not allowed through the meter. This excess
current can cause damage to circuits not designed to
carry it.

Diagnostic Display (4WD Machines)
The Diagnostic Display (Fig. 2) can be connected to the
wiring harness communication connector located under
the operator seat to verify correct electrical functions of
4WD machines that have a Toro Electronic Controller
(TEC). TEC inputs and outputs can be checked using
the Diagnostic Display.
Toro Part Number for Diagnostic Display: 85−4750
Toro Part Number for Groundsmaster 360 Overlay (En-
glish): 120−0273
NOTE: Diagnostic Display overlays are available in
several languages for your Groundsmaster. Refer to
your Parts Catalog for overlay language options and
part numbers.
NOTE: Machine may have second TEC controller if
equipped with optional accessories. Additional Diag-
nostic Display overlays in both English and other lan-
guages are available for use with machines that have
the second controller.
IMPORTANT: The Diagnostic Display must not be
left connected to the machine. It is not designed to
withstand the environment of the machine’s every
day use. When use of Diagnostic Display is com-
pleted, disconnect it from the machine and recon-
nect loopback connector to harness connector.
Machine will not operate without loopback connec-
tor installed on harness. Store Diagnostic Display in
a dry, secure, indoor location and not on machine.
