Installthebladesandtorquethebladefastenersto115
to149N∙m(85to110ft-lb).
4.Checkallfastenersforloosenessandtightenthemas
necessary.Torquethe6boltssecuringthemowerdeck
frametothetractionunit(Figure63)to359N∙m(265

505-47)orpetroleumjellytopreventcorrosion.
D.Slowlyrechargethebatteryfor24hoursevery60
daystopreventleadsulfationofthebattery.
Engine
1.Draintheengineoilfromtheoilpanandreplacethe
drainplug.
2.Replacetheoillter.
3.Filltheenginewiththerecommendedmotoroil.
4.Starttheengineandrunitatidlespeedfor2minutes.
5.Drainthefuelfromthefueltank,fuellines,pump,
lter,andseparator.Flushthefueltankwithclean
dieselfuelandconnectallfuellines.
6.Thoroughlycleanandservicetheair-cleanerassembly.
7.Sealtheair-cleanerinletandtheexhaustoutletwith
weatherproofmaskingtape.
8.Checktheoilllercapandfuel-tankcaptoensurethat
theyaresecurelyinplace.
