CheckingtheEngine-oilLevel
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
3.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
4.Cleanaroundtheoildipstick(Figure30)sothatdirt
cannotfallintothellerholeanddamagetheengine.

5.Unscrewtheoildipstickandwipetheendclean(Figure
30).
6.Slidetheoildipstickfullyintothellertube,butdonot
threaditontothetube(Figure30).
7.Pullthedipstickoutandlookattheend.Iftheoillevel
islow,slowlypouronlyenoughoilintothellertube
toraisetheleveltotheFullmark.
Important:Donotoverllthecrankcasewithoil
andruntheengine;enginedamagecanresult.
ChangingtheEngineOil
1.Parkthemachine,sothatthedrainsideisslightlylower
thantheoppositeside,toensurethattheoildrains
completely.
2.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
3.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
4.Slidethedrainhoseovertheoil-drainvalve.
5.Placeadrainpanbelowthedrainhose.
6.Rotatetheoil-drainvalvetoallowtheoiltodrain
(
Figure31).
7.Whenoilhasdrainedcompletely,closethedrainvalve.
8.Removethedrainhose(Figure31).
Note:Disposeoftheusedoilatarecyclingcenter.
