Matching Height Of Cut Betw een Cutting
Units
1. P osition blade side to side on outside spindle
of both side cutting units . Measure from the
floor to the tip of the cutting edg e on both
units and compare . T hese n umbers should be
within 1/8 inc h (3 mm) of eac h other . Mak e
no adjustment at this time .
2. P osition blade side to side on inside spindle
of side cutting unit and cor responding outside
spindle of front cutting unit. Measure from the
floor to the tip of the cutting edg e on inside
edg e of side cutting unit to cor responding
outside edg e of front cutting unit and compare .
T he side cutting unit measurement should be
appro ximately 3/8 inc h less than the front
cutting unit measurement to be cor rect. W hen
proper mac hine counterbalance is applied to
the side cutting units the inside edg e will lift up
appro ximately 3/8 inc h (10 mm).
Note: All three side cutting units castor
wheels should remain on the g round with
counterbalance applied.
Note: If adjustments need to be made to
matc h the cut betw een the front and side
cutting units , mak e the adjustments to the side
cutting units only .
3. If the inside edg e of the side cutting unit is
too high relati v e to the outside edg e of the
front cutting unit, remo v e one 1/8 inc h shim
from the bottom of the front inside castor ar m
on the side cutting unit ( Figure 27 ). R ec hec k
measurement betw een outside edg es of both
side cutting units and inside edg e of side
cutting unit to outside edg e of front cutting
unit.
4. If inside edg e is still too high, remo v e an
additional 1/8 inc h shim from bottom of front
inside castor ar m of the side cutting unit and
one 1/8 inc h shim from the front outside
castor ar m of the side cutting unit.
5. If the inside edg e of the side cutting unit is too
lo w relati v e to the outside edg e of the front
cutting unit, add one 1/8 inc h shim to the
bottom of the front inside castor ar m on the
side cutting unit. Chec k measurement betw een
outside edg es of both side cutting units and
inside edg e of side cutting unit to outside edg e
of front cutting unit.
6. If inside edg e is still too lo w , add an additional
1/8 inc h shim to the bottom of front inside
castor ar m of the side cutting unit and add one
1/8 inc h shim to the front outside castor ar m
of the side cutting unit.
7. Once cutting height matc hes at the edg es of
front and side cutting units , v erify that side
cutting unit pitc h is still 1/4 inc h (6 mm).
Adjust as necessar y .
Starting and Stopping the
Engine
Important: T he fuel system will
automaticall y bleed itself when an y of the
f ollo wing situations occur :
• Initial star t up of a new mac hine .
• T he engine has ceased r unning due to lac k of
