Maintenance
Ifyouraisethemachineusingonlyajackto
supportitwhileyouworkunderthemower
deck,thejackcouldtip,causingthemower
decktofall,crushingyouorbystanders.
Alwayssecurethemachinewithatleast2jack
standswhenyouhavethemowerdeckraised.
Onthetopofthemowerdeckaretwolinks
thatconnectthemtotheframe.Connectedto
theselinksaretorsionspringthatareunder
tension(Figure70).Ifyoudisconnectthelink
thestoredenergyinthetorsionspringwillbe
releasedandcouldcausethelinkstomove,
damagingyourhandsorngers.
Becarefulwhenremovingthemowerdeck
fromtheframeandsecurethelinksbefore
disconnectingthemfromtheframe.

becausesharpbladescutcleanlywithouttearingor
shreddingthegrassblades.Tearingandshreddingturns
