Note:Bearingsrarelyfailfromdefectsinmaterialsor
workmanship.Themostcommonreasonforfailure
ismoistureandcontaminationworkingitswaypast
theprotectiveseals.Bearingsthataregreasedwillrely
uponregularmaintenancetopurgeharmfuldebris
fromthebearingarea.Sealedbearingsrelyonaninitial
llofspecialgreaseandarobustintegralsealtokeep
contaminantsandmoistureoutoftherollingelements.
Thesealedbearingsrequirenolubricationorshortterm
maintenance.Thisminimizesroutineservicerequired
andreducesthepotentialofturfdamageduetogrease
contamination.Thesesealedbearingpackageswill
providegoodperformanceandlifeundernormaluse,
butperiodicinspectionsofbearingconditionandseal
integrityshouldbeconductedtoavoiddowntime.These
bearingsshouldbeinspectedseasonallyandreplacedif
damagedorworn.Bearingsshouldoperatesmoothly
withnodetrimentalcharacteristicssuchashighheat,
noise,loosenessorindicationsofcorrosion(rust).
Duetotheoperatingconditionsthesebearing/seal
packagesaresubjectto(i.e.sand,turfchemicals,water,
impacts,etc.)theyareconsiderednormalwearitems.
Bearingsthatfailduetocausesotherthandefectsin
materialsorworkmanshiparetypicallynotcovered
underwarranty.
Note:Bearinglifecanbenegativelyaffectedby
improperwashdownprocedures.Donotwash
downtheunitwhenitisstillhotandavoiddirecting
high-pressureorhighvolumesprayatthebearings.
