Note: Spare height–of–cut spacers may be stored on posts
and retained by a hairpin cotter.
Important All four hairpin cotter pins must be in the
same hole location and with the correct number of spacers
for a level cut.

Adjusting Gage Wheels
The gage wheels must be adjusted in the proper hole
location for each height-of-cut position.
1. After adjusting height-of-cut, remove nut and washer
while holding stud with wrench (Fig. 16).
Note: Do not remove the wheel nut and washer (Fig. 16).
2. Select a hole position so the gage wheel is a minimum
of 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) off the ground for the height-of-cut
to be used (Fig. 16).
3. Reinstall the stud nut and washer (Fig. 16).
4. Repeat adjustment on other gage wheels.

Adjusting Center Gage Wheels
The gage wheels must be adjusted in the proper hole
location for each height-of-cut position.
1. After adjusting height-of-cut remove bolt, washers and
nut (Fig. 17).
2. Select a hole position so the gage wheels are a
minimum of 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) off the ground for the
height-of-cut to be used (Fig. 17).
3. Reinstall the bolt, washers and nut (Fig. 17).
