6. Hook the idler spring to the idler arm (Fig. 1256).

7. Install the mower spindle drive belt. Refer to “Mower

Spindle Drive Belt Installation” on page 8-5.

8. Install the PTO drive belt. Refer to “PTO Drive Belt

Installation” on page 8-9.

Adjustable Bafﬂ e Removal

1. Turn the engine off and remove the key from the

ignition. Set the parking brake.

2. Remove the nut that secures the lock lever to the

lock cap (Fig. 1257).

3. Slide the lock lever out of the lock cap (Fig. 1258).
