1.Connectthe38-socketconnector(CPU-2)totheback
ofthecomputermodule(Figure117).
2.Connectthe50-socketconnector(CPU1)totheback
ofthecomputermodule(Figure117).
3.Alignthelower-consolepaneltotheconsole(Figure
116).
4.Securethepaneltotheconsolewiththe4hex-anged
headbolts(6x20mm).
ConnectingtheAlternator
Wiring
1.Ensurethatthebattery-disconnectswitchisintheOff
position;refertoBattery-DisconnectSwitch(page21).
2.Connectthe4-socketconnectorforthevoltage-sense
wiretothe4-pinconnectorontopofthealternator
(Figure115).
3.Assembletheterminalofthechargewireontothestud
atthebackofthealternator(Figure115).
4.Securethechargewiretothestudwiththenutand
washer.
5.Alignthebootofthechargewireovertheterminal
andstud(Figure115).
ClosingtheMachine
1.Rotatethebattery-disconnectswitchtotheOn
position;refertoBattery-DisconnectSwitch(page21).
2.Installtherightsidepanel;refertoInstallingtheSide
Panels(page46).
Cleaning
RemovingDirtandDebrisfrom
theMachine
Important:Operatingtheenginewithblockedscreens,
dirtyorpluggedcoolingns,and/orcoolingshrouds
removed,willresultinenginedamagefromoverheating.
1.Lowerallattachmentsandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Wipeawaydirtanddebrisfromtheaircleaner.
4.Cleananydirtanddebrisbuildupontheenginewitha
brushorblower.
Important:Itispreferabletoblowdirtout,rather
thanwashingitout.Ifwaterisused,keepitaway
fromelectricalitemsandhydraulicvalves.Do
notuseahigh-pressurewasher.High-pressure
washingcandamagetheelectricalsystemand
hydraulicvalvesordepletegrease.
