Checktheconditionofthecoolingsystemforleaks,damage,
dirt,andloosehoses,andclamps.Clean,repair,tighten,and
replacethecomponentsasnecessary.
CheckingtheConcentrationofthe
Coolant
ServiceInterval:Every1,000hours
Testtheconcentrationofethyleneglycolbasedantifreezein
thecoolant.Ensurethatthecoolantisamixtureof50%
ethyleneglycoland50%water.
CleaningtheCoolingSystem
ServiceInterval:Every2,000hours/Every2years
(whichevercomesrst)
Thecoolantcapacityoftheengineandtheradiator:18.5
L(19.5USqt).
DrainingtheCoolantfromtheSystem
Important:Donotpourcoolantontothegroundorinto
anunapprovedcontainerthatcanleak.
1.Removetheleftandrightsidepanels;referto
RemovingtheSidePanels(page46).
2.Removethe2hex-headboltsthatsecurethereservoir
doortothehoodandopenthedoor(Figure103).
3.Removetherecovery-tankcapfromthetank(Figure
103).
4.Slipacoolantresistanthosethatis3/8x30inchesover
theoutletforthedrainvalveintheradiator(Figure
104).
