PREPARATION
1. Loosen the nuts (A) and bolts (B) that hold the
existing guard (not shown) in between the
mounting brackets (C).
2. Remove the existing guard (not shown) from the
mounting brackets (C).
BOOM/BAR INSTALLATION
1. Install the boom (11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, or 25)
or restraint bar (29, 30, 31, or 32) in between the
mounting brackets (C).
2. Tighten the nuts (A) on the bolts (B) that hold the
boom or bar in between the mounting brackets
(C).
CRUMBER INSTALLATION
1. Install a flat washer (1) on the pin of both a short
link (2) and a long link (3).
2. Install the pins of the links (2 and 3) through the
holes in the blade arm (4).
3. Install a flat washer (1) on the pin of each of the
links (2 and 3) that are installed in the blade arm
(4).
4. Install the pins on the other links (2 and 3) in the
boom (11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, or 25) as shown.
5. Install the blade arm (4) and links (2 and 3) on the
boom (11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, or 25) and the
links (2 and 3) already installed in the boom.
6. Install the cotter pins (5) in the link pins.
CRUMBER BLADE INSTALLATION
NOTE: The crumber blade (D) is not included in
these kits.
1. Put the crumber blade (D) and plate (9) in position
on the blade arm (4) as shown.
2. Install the bolts (6), flat washers (7), and lock nuts
(8) as shown.
DECAL INSTALLATION
1. Clean each side and top of the boom (11, 13, 15,
17, 19, 21, 23, or 25) and restraint bar (29, 30, 31,
or 32) of all dirt, grease, and oil.
2. Install the decal (10) on the top of the boom (11,
13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, or 25) and restraint bar (29,
30, 31, or 32) as shown.
3. Cut both decals (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, or
28) in half.
4. Install a complete decal (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22,
24, 26, or 28) on each side of the boom (11, 13,
15, 17, 19, 21, 23, or 25).
ADJUSTMENT
1. Lower the crumber are into position.
2. Loosen the nuts (A) and bolts (B).
3. Move the boom (11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, or 25)
until the crumber blade is 75 to 100 mm (3 to 4
inches) from the teeth on the digging chain.
4. Tighten the nuts (A).
