UsingBiodieselFuel
Thismachinecanalsouseabiodieselblendedfuelofup
toB20(20%biodiesel,80%petrodiesel).Thepetrodiesel
portionshouldbeloworultra-lowsulfur.Observethe
followingprecautions:
•Thebiodieselportionofthefuelmustmeetspecication
ASTMD6751orEN14214.
•TheblendedfuelcompositionshouldmeetASTMD975
orEN590.
•Biodieselblendsmaybedamagepaintedsurfaces.
•UseB5withabiodieselcontentof5%orlessincold
weather.
•Checkseals,hoses,gasketsthatcomeincontactwiththe
fuel,astheymaydegradeovertime.
•Thefuelltermaybecomepluggedforatimeafter
convertingtoabiodieselfuelblend.
•Contactyourdistributorformoreinformationabout
biodieselfuel.
StoringFuel
Ifyoustorefuelinastoragetank,itcanaccumulateforeign
materialorwater.Keepthefuelstoragetankoutside,and
keepthefuelascoolaspossible.Removewaterfromthefuel
inthestoragecontaineratregularintervals.
FillingtheFuelTank
Note:Fillthefueltankofthemachineattheendofeachday
topreventcondensationinthefueltank.
1.Cleanaroundthefuel-tankcap(Figure19),andremove
thecapfromthetank.

CheckingtheEngineOilLevel
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Theengineisshippedwithoilinthecrankcase;however,
checktheoillevelbeforeandafteryourststarttheengine.
Useonlyhigh-qualitySAE15W-40heavy-dutyengineoilwith
anAPIclassicationofCH-4orhigher.
WhileSAE15W-40oilwithanAPIclassicationofCH-4or
higherisrecommendedformostclimates,refertoFigure20
foroilviscosityrecommendationsforextremeclimates.
