towardlongerfuelpumplifeandincreasedpowercompared
towintergradefuel.
Important:Donotusekeroseneorgasolineinsteadof
dieselfuel.Failuretoobservethiscautionwilldamage
theengine.

Fuelisharmfulorfatalifswallowed.Long-term
exposuretovaporscancauseseriousinjuryand
illness.
•Avoidprolongedbreathingofvapors.
•Keepfaceawayfromnozzleandgastankor
conditioneropening.
•Keepfuelawayfromeyesandskin.
UsingBiodieselFuel
Thismachinecanalsouseabiodieselblendedfuelofup
toB20(20%biodiesel,80%petrodiesel).Thepetrodiesel
portionmustbeultralowsulfur.Observethefollowing
precautions:
•Thebiodieselportionofthefuelmustmeetspecication
ASTMD6751orEN14214.
•TheblendedfuelcompositionshouldmeetASTMD975
orEN590.
•Paintedsurfacesmaybedamagedbybiodieselblends.
•UseB5(biodieselcontentof5%)orlesserblendsincold
weather.
•Monitorseals,hoses,gasketsincontactwithfuelasthey
maybedegradedovertime.
•Fuellterpluggingmaybeexpectedforatimeafter
convertingtobiodieselblended.
•Contactyourdealerformoreinformationaboutbiodiesel.
Incertainconditionsduringfueling,staticelectricitycanbe
released,causingasparkwhichcanignitethefuelvapors.A
reorexplosionfromfuelcanburnyouandothersandcan
damageproperty.
•Placefuelcontainersonthegroundawayfromyour
vehiclebeforelling.
•Donotllfuelcontainersinsideavehicleoronatruck
ortrailerbedbecauseinteriorcarpetsorplastictruckbed
linersmayinsulatethecontainerandslowthelossofany
staticcharge.
•Whenpractical,removeequipmentfromthetruckor
trailer,andrefueltheequipmentwithitstracksonthe
ground.
•Ifthisisnotpossible,thenrefuelsuchequipmenton
atruckortrailerfromaportablecontainerratherthan
fromafueldispensernozzle.
•Ifyouareusingafueldispensernozzle,keepthenozzlein
contactwiththerimofthefueltankorcontaineropening
atalltimesuntilfuelingiscomplete.
DANGER
Incertainconditions,fuelisextremelyammable
andhighlyexplosive.Areorexplosionfromfuel
canburnyouandothersandcandamageproperty.
•Fillthefueltankoutdoors,inanopenarea,when
theengineiscold.Wipeupanyfuelthatspills.
•Donotllthefueltankinsideanenclosedtrailer.
•Donotsmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwherefuelfumes
maybeignitedbyaspark.
•Storefuelinanapprovedcontainerandkeepit
outofthereachofchildren.Donotbuymore
thana30-daysupplyoffuel.
•Donotoperatewithoutentireexhaustsystemin
placeandinproperworkingcondition.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Usingacleanrag,cleantheareaaroundfuel-tankcap.
3.Removethecapfromthefueltank(Figure66).
