Keeptheareaunderthebeltcoverfreeofdebris.
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
2.Removetheboltsthatsecurethebeltcover(

tothemachinehousing.

thebeltarea.
4.Installthebeltcover.

ClutchShield
ServiceInterval:Every50hours
Cleanthebladebrakeclutchshieldtoensurethebest
performanceandtopreventpartsfromdegrading.Clean
thebladebrakeclutchshieldwhenyousharpentheblade,
becauseyouneedtoremovethebladeinordertoremove
thebladebrakeclutchshield.
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
3.Drainthegasolinefromthefueltank.
4.Tipthemachinewiththedipstickdown.
WARNING
Tippingthemachinemaycausethefuelto
leakfromthecarburetororthefueltank.
Gasolineisextremelyammable,highly
explosive,and,undercertainconditions,can
causepersonalinjuryorpropertydamage.
Avoidfuelspillsbyemptyingthefueltankas
directed;neversiphon.
5.Remove2bladenuts,theaccelerator,andtheblade
(Figure40).
6.Loosenthetabsthatsecurethebladebrakeclutch
shieldtothehousingbylooseningthenutsorthebolts
onthetabs(Figure43).Rotatethetabs180°tomove
themoutoftheway.

ontabstosecurethebladebrakeclutchshieldtothe
housing.
9.Installtheblade,theaccelerator,andthe2bladenuts.
10.Returnthemachinetotheoperatingposition.
11.Connectthewiretothesparkplug.
