Ifwashingdoesnotremovealldebrisfromunderthe
lawnmower,scrapeitclean.
1.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug(Figure12).
2.Drainthefuelfromthefueltank.RefertoEmptying
theFuelTankandCleaningtheFuelFilter.
Tippingthelawnmowermaycausethefuel
toleakfromthecarburetororthefueltank.
Gasolineisextremelyammable,highly
explosive,and,undercertainconditions,can
causepersonalinjuryorpropertydamage.
Avoidfuelspillsbyrunningtheenginedryor
byremovingthegasolinewithahandpump;
neversiphon.
3.Tipthelawnmowerontoitsrightside.
4.Removethedirtandgrassclippingswithahardwood
scraper.Avoidburrsandsharpedges.
5.Turnthelawnmowerupright.
6.Fillthefueltank.
7.Connectthewiretothesparkplug.
CleaningtheDischargeTunnel
andPlug
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Removetheplugfromthedischargetunnelandclean
itaftereachuse.
Alwaysbesurethatthedischargetunneldoorcloses
securelywhenyoureleasethehandle.Ifthedebris
preventsthedischargedoorfromclosingsecurely,
cleantheinsideofthedischargetunnelandthedoor
thoroughly.
Grassclippingsandotherobjectscanbethrown
fromanopendischargetunnelandcause
seriousinjuryorkilltheoperatororbystanders.
Neverstartoroperatethelawnmowerunless
oneofthefollowingistrue:
Thedischargetunnelplugislockedsecurely
inthedischargetunnel.
Thegrassbagislockedinplace.
Theoptionalsidedischargechuteislocked
inplace.
Thedischargetunneldoorislockedinplace.

ServiceInterval:Every50hours
Keeptheareaunderthebeltcoverfreeofdebris.
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
2.Removetheboltsthatsecurethebeltcover
(Figure34)tothelawnmowerhousing.
