Maintenance
Note: Deter mine the left and right sides of the mac hine from the nor mal operating position.

Maintenance Procedure
After the rst 8 operating
hours
• Change the engine oil without the oil lter.
Before each use or daily
• Check the engine oil level.
• Check the operation of the blade brake clutch.
• Inspect the mower blades for wear or damage.
• Clean under the lawn mower housing.
• Clean the discharge tunnel and plug.
Every 25 hours
• Clean the foam pre-cleaner (more frequently in dusty conditions).
Every 50 hours
• Lubricate the pivot arms.
• Change the engine oil (more often in dusty conditions).
• Check the fuel hose and replace it if necessary.
• Clean the blade brake clutch shield.
Every 100 hours
• Lubricate the gear case.
• Clean the air cooling ns.
• Change the engine oil and oil lter.
• Check the spark plug.
• Clean the fuel lter.
• Adjust the self-propel drive.
• Service the wheels.
• Adjust the blade brake cable.
• Clean under the belt cover.
Every 300 hours
• Replace the paper air lter (more frequently in dusty conditions).
Yearly or before storage
• Empty the fuel tank.

seriousl y injur e y ou or other bystander s.
Disconnect the wir e fr om the spar k plug bef or e y ou do an y maintenance. Set the wir e aside so
that it does not accidentl y contact the spar k plug .
Lubrication
Lubricating the Pivot Arms
After ev er y 50 operating hours or when the season
ends , lubricate the pi v ot ar ms .
1. Mo v e the rear wheel cutting height lev ers to
the center setting .
2. Wipe the g rease fittings with a clean rag
( Figure 23 ).
