Check diameter

valve stem in area covered
by
valve
guide at several points with micrometer.
If
diameter
is
less than
MIN.
replace valve.

Check bend of valve stem at center part with

and dial indicator
(B).
If bend (dial gauge reading) of valve stem

more than
0.03

in.
replace valve.

worn or damaged, replace
it.
