SecuringtheExtensionCord
Note:Thisprocedureisformowersthatrequirean
extensioncord.
Useonlyanextensioncordrecommendedforoutdoor
use.
WARNING
Contactingwaterwhileoperatingthemowercould
causeanelectricshock,whichcancauseaninjury
ordeath.
Don’thandletheplugorthemowerwithwet
handsorwhilestandinginwater.
Useonlyanextensioncordrecommendedfor
outdoorcoldweatheruse.

PlanningYourMowingPattern
Followingthesuggestedmowingpatternwillreducethe
riskofrunningoverthecordwiththemower,andthe
cordwillnotsustainunnecessarywear.Donotallow
thepowercordtowraparoundtrees,shrubs,orother
obstacles.
Beginbymowingneartheelectricalpowersource.Mow
backandforth,graduallymowingawayfromthepower
source(
Figure14).
