toolowortoohighandyouruntheengine,
youmaydamagetheengine.
10.Installthedipsticksecurely.
11.Recycletheusedoilproperly.
ServicingtheSparkPlug
ServiceInterval:Every100hours
UseanChampionRN9YCsparkplugorequivalent.
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug(Figure20).
3.Cleanaroundthesparkplug.
4.Removethesparkplugfromthecylinderhead.
Important:Replaceacracked,fouled,ordirty
sparkplug.Donotcleantheelectrodesbecause
gritenteringthecylindercandamagetheengine.
5.Setthegapontheplugto0.76mm(0.030inch)as
showninFigure24.

areuncomfortableperformingthisprocedure,contact
anAuthorizedServiceDealer.
Examinethebladewheneveryourunoutofgasoline.Ifthe
bladeisdamagedorcracked,replaceitimmediately.Ifthe
bladeedgeisdullornicked,haveitsharpenedorreplaceit.
WARNING
Thebladeissharp;contactingthebladecanresult
inseriouspersonalinjury.
Weargloveswhenservicingtheblade.
1.Disconnectthespark-plugwirefromthesparkplug;
refertoPreparingforMaintenance(page13).
2.Tipthemachineontoitsside(Figure25),withthe
dipstickdown.
