theaircleaner.
8.Installthecover.

1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
2.Runtheengineafewminutesbeforechangingtheoil
towarmit.
Note:Warmoilowsbetterandcarriesmore
contaminants.
3.Disconnectthespark-plugwirefromthesparkplug;
referto
PreparingforMaintenance(page13).
4.Tipthemachineontoitsside,withthedipstickdown,
todraintheusedoiloutthroughtheoil-lltubeinto
anoildrainpan(Figure20).

5.Afterdrainingtheusedoil,returnthemachinetothe
operatingposition.
6.Pourabout3/4ofthecrankcasecapacityofoilinto
theoil-lltube.

10W-30detergentoilwithanAPIserviceclassication
ofSF,SG,SH,SJ,SL,orhigher.
7.Wipeoffthedipstickendwithacleancloth.
8.Insertthedipstickintotheoil-lltube,butdonot
screwitin.
9.Removethedipstickandreadtheoillevelonthe
dipstick(Figure21).
