Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringit.
1.Onthelastrefuelingoftheyear,addfuelstabilizerto
thefuelasdirectedbytheenginemanufacturer.
2.Runthemachineuntiltheenginestopsfromrunning
outoffuel.
3.Startitagain.
4.Allowtheenginetorununtilitstops.Whenyoucan
nolongerstarttheengine,itissufcientlydry.
5.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
6.Removethesparkplug,add30mlofoilthrough
thesparkplughole,andpullthestarterropeslowly
severaltimestodistributeoilthroughoutthecylinder
topreventcylindercorrosionduringtheoff-season.
7.Looselyinstallthesparkplug.
8.Tightenallnuts,bolts,andscrews.

1.Rotatethehandleforward(Figure26).
Important:Routethecablestotheoutsideofthe
handleknobsasyoufoldtheupperhandle.
2.Tounfoldthehandle,referto1UnfoldingtheHandle
(page5).
RemovingtheMachinefrom

1.Checkandtightenallfasteners.
2.Removethesparkplugandspintheenginerapidlyto
blowexcessoilfromthecylinder.
3.Installthesparkplugandtightenitwithatorque
wrenchto20N-m(15ft-lb).
4.Performanyneededmaintenanceprocedures;referto
PreparingforMaintenance(page13).
5.Checktheengineoillevel;refertoCheckingtheEngine
OilLevel(page8).
6.Fillthefueltankwithfreshgasoline;refertoFillingthe
FuelTank(page7).
7.Connectthewiretothesparkplug.
