5.Removethedipstickandreadtheoillevelonthe
dipstick(Figure9).
Iftheoillevelistoolow,addasmallamountof
oilslowlytotheoil-lltube,andthenrepeatsteps
3through5untiltheoillevelonthedipstickis
correct.
Iftheoillevelistoohigh,draintheexcessoiluntil
theoillevelonthedipstickiscorrect.Todrainthe
excessoil,refertoChangingtheEngineOil(page
14).
Important:Iftheoillevelinthecrankcaseis
toolowortoohighandyouruntheengine,
youmaydamagetheengine.
6.Installthedipsticksecurely.
AdjustingtheCuttingHeight
WARNING
Adjustingthecuttingheightmaybringyouinto
contactwiththemovingblade,causingserious
injury.
Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingparts
tostop.
Donotputyourngersunderthehousingwhen
adjustingthecuttingheight.
CAUTION
Iftheenginehasbeenrunning,themuferwillbe
hotandcanseverelyburnyou.Keepawayfromthe
hotmufer.
Adjustthecuttingheightasdesired.
Note:Toraisethemachine,movebothcutting-heightlevers
forward;tolowerthemachine,movethemrearward(Figure
10).
